Who We Are
The Lewis Center Sharks (LCS) is a competitive non-profit select travel fastpitch softball program serving athletes in the central Ohio area. LCS is focused on transitioning athletes from community recreational softball programs to travel softball by developing fundamentally sound and competitive young athletes using a positive, team-centered approach that prepares each individual athlete for their next level of softball.

We empower, educate, and mentor athletes by teaching life lessons both on and off the softball field. Through the process of identifying strengths and weaknesses within each individual athlete, we encourage each athlete to build on these core areas through mentorship, individual accountability, and positive re-enforcement. Our guiding principles are to teach lessons of strong work ethic as well as the importance of academics, serving our community, and being a good role model and community member. Our goal is to support the local schools' athletic programs by developing athletes who want to play softball at a competitive level.
“It’s more than just softball!”
At LCS, we use the game of softball as an avenue to teach young athletes about life. We are a growth-minded program that strives to empower, educate and mentor athletes by teaching life lessons about teamwork, responsibility, commitment, accountability, work ethic, and goal-setting both on and off the softball field. Through the process of identifying strengths and challenges within each individual athlete, we provide athletes the opportunity to build on core areas through individual and team practices with skilled, knowledgeable, and dedicated LCS staff; partnerships with Dugout Baseball and Performance staff for softball specific skills related to agility, strength, and conditioning; and access to expert softball trainers from current and former collegiate-level softball players/coaches. At LCS, we believe it is more than just softball; it is a way of life.
